Sri Racha Tiger Zoo covers 250 rai in Tambon Nong Kham, Siracha District. It is established with the intention to conserve and breed wildlife such as the Bengal Tiger which is the identity of Asia. Khao Kheow Open Zoo is the only zoo in Thailand where over 8,000 animals of more than 300 species let free in an area of 5,000 rai in the Khao Kheow-Khao Chomphu Wildlife Reserve. The zoo grounds are divided into a 400 acres of animal habitats, 200 acres of public recreational area and 1,400 acres of research area which is used for breeding the endangered species. Khao Kheow received international recognition and to become a member of World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Visitors can walk, drive through the zoo to observe animals at close range. There is also tram service riding around the zoo. Night safari is available with the special tram and expert will escort all the way through. Pattaya Elephant Village is a sanctuary for former working elephants. The Elephant Village features elephant performance, elephant bathing, training of elephants including a parade of re-enactment of elephant war.
